Sew and Tell is a relaxed and friendly environment which offers everyone the chance to explore their skills in recycling clothes and fabrics.
From curtains to cardi's, we can help you to revamp or redesign them, making them completely unique to you.
Create a whole new wardrobe from old clothes and fabrics or update a lounge or bedroom with 'designed by you' cushions and soft furnishings.
Transform cherished keepsakes, such as babies first dress or a christening or wedding gown, into new and useful items.
Sessions are held in a light and airy building with refreshments provided free of charge. Everyone works at the their own speed in a social setting, with lots of laughter and chat.
Realise your ideas in a professional and fully equipped room that is ideal for both modest creations and projects needing large cutting tables or industrial machines. We also offer a drop in facility where the space or machines can be used during standard opening times.
Sessions are held in small, intimate groups where individual attention is guaranteed, with the benefit of group dynamics to generate different ideas.
Group sessions run Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 9am and 5pm and Wednesday evenings between 8pm and 10pm. They are totally flexible to suit you - come for one hour or the whole day. Prices start at £6 per hour.
Texworks also offers an exclusive service, should you prefer a one to one setting or a class with a group of friends. These run on a Tuesday and Friday - 9am to 5pm. Prices start at £10 per hour.
